2022--Let the planting fun begin
Share
By mid May, our tomatoes and peppers had gorgeous white roots that were peeking out from the bottoms of their containers. and it was officially time to plant, baby, plant! Planting season was on like donkey kong and we were there for it. First in were the tomatoes as their roots were desperately ready to help push 4th and 5th leaf sets--healthy roots, healthy shoots. The peppers and herbs needed a little more time in the greenhouse, so it was nice to see the tomatoes take off. At the time, we had only two raised beds, so those later plants would find their seasonal home in 5 gallon and larger buckets.
At that point for us, tomatoes were still the queens of the garden to be held in the highest esteem. But that would change as the season went on.
