2022--The tomatoes doubled in size in just over a week

It is always amazing to me to see how quickly tomatoes are able to grow a nice canopy and begin setting blooms. Within a week, our tomatoes in the new raised beds had doubled in size as the ones in bucket containers. We trialed a few tomatoes in the ground that had once been a gravel parking lot over pure orange clay soil, and they also began to bloom and set fruit, though they did not double in size. We had new plantings in buckets filling any empty space that year, neatly lined up in rows, including the peppers that would be added into the mix.
