Butterflies love peppers?

Sometimes, butterflies need a landing area to rest during their migrations. Admittedly, I don't know every butterfly upon inspection, but sometimes it doesn't matter--this day, I took the position of appreciation.
Inca was playing Tom and Jerry games with her favorite little mouse where she chases and never quite catches her favorite garden rodent friend, when I saw a butterfly light on our pepper plants. I was surprised to see such a mesmerizing landing and resulting rest period. The butterfly didn't move for 5-6 minutes and neither did Inca or I.
I realized that Inca's patient sit and watch approach worked for me as well. Sometimes, even when hardcore gardening, we must stop and watch, feel the sun on our backs and simply take in the moment. Just take a second to be happy and to be still, small joys and all, rest and refuel.
