September 2023--firing on all cylinders

Because we start our seeds early for most, by September, we at Laurel Urban Farms are firing on all cylinders. Even the peppers that require 180 days to produce like the habanero are ripening rapidly and in great numbers by mid September and will continue until the freeze gets them.

The plants have mostly achieved their full growth potential and work on flowering and fruiting in spurts. As you take large harvests, they will push out all over again. How the plants know to do so is just a miracle to me. How do they have such innate wisdom?
